At ViaMar Health, the first and only eating disorder treatment facility in Palm Beach County, our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) offers a structured yet flexible treatment option for individuals recovering from eating disorders. IOP is designed to support individuals beyond traditional outpatient therapy.
What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment?
Our IOP is tailored for those who need more support than standard outpatient therapy but do not require full-time residential care. Typically, our program runs three to six days a week for three hours per day, providing a balanced approach to treatment and daily living.

Both programs ensure flexible yet comprehensive support tailored to patient needs.
Supportive Living Patients
- Morning: Nutritious breakfast with peers, followed by a mindfulness session.
- Individual therapy to address personal challenges.
- Group therapy focused on shared experiences and support.
- Nutrition education class for healthy eating and meal planning.
- Afternoon: Cooking class or grocery shopping for life skills.
- Optional mindful movement like yoga.
- End the day with a final group therapy session.
Commuting Patients:
- Start at home, then arrive for individual therapy.
- Group therapy and specialized programming.
- Participate in nutrition education and mindful movement activities.
- Wrap up with a final group therapy session before heading home.
